Intelligence for people who manage other people's money
Wealth management runs on trust, and family office managers have no patience for confusing tools. Luscent was built to solve that: using AI to support these managers' decisions, surfacing client relationship health and portfolio signals before the numbers tell the story on their own. The challenge was building this from scratch, solo, in a phase where every design decision directly affected how fast the product could get validated.

One MVP, the chance to be the only designer on the team
I was the startup's only Product Designer, which meant owning the MVP's design end-to-end: flows, user journeys, information architecture, all of it. I designed the first versions of concepts that are now the product's core, relationship health scores, predictive churn signals, revenue opportunity prioritization, translating abstract AI ideas into interfaces a family office manager can actually use without a manual. To avoid reinventing basic patterns, I customized Untitled UI as the design system, which gave us fast visual consistency and kept the dev team aligned through short validation cycles. I used Claude as a decision partner for components and interface patterns, and it made a real difference in speed, calls that would've taken hours of exploration moved faster with a solid AI copilot. That freed up time to focus on what actually mattered: understanding how a family office manager thinks before trusting a machine-generated recommendation.

Validation in the real world
The product was validated directly with wealth management offices while still pre-revenue, making that validation one of the startup's key tractions signals.
